Kalady Audiology is partnering with Hearing the Call to bring a reduced cost/sliding scale fee hearing clinic to the Lowcountry region of South Carolina as well as global hearing healthcare to those in need. Treating hearing loss improves education opportunities, earning potential, enhances human connection, and provides a bridge to full participation in life.
Our mission is to provide hearing healthcare to individuals in the Lowcountry who cannot afford it on their own, while providing them with opportunities to give back to the community through service to others. We also provide hearing healthcare globally to those in need.
Our vision is to improve the quality of life of low-income individuals in our community with hearing loss, through affordable hearing healthcare, and to create a “circle of giving” whereby the recipient of our services gives back to the community through service and gains a greater purpose while doing so.
Our promise is that every day, we will wake up and enrich the lives of underserved families in the Lowcountry by having a meaningful impact on the quality of life and the lives of loved ones in need.
Strikingly, 1 in 5 Americans suffers from hearing loss to an extent that interferes with communication. We believe no one should miss out on participating fully in life due to hearing loss. Untreated hearing loss has a devastating impact on individuals, families, and communities; it can be detrimental to happiness, energy, brain health, and employment as well! Sadly, even Medicare does not cover any of the costs of treating hearing loss, nor do many health insurance plans, so they ultimately have no place to turn to for treatment.
Qualified participants will show proof of financial need, pay a small fee for their hearing devices, and give back volunteer hours in their community as a way to say “Thank you” to the local companies, families, and friends that are donating for their care.
Thank you for your interest in the Hearing the Call campaign in partnership with the Hearing the Call –Lowcountry. Your donation will go to Hearing the Call, a 501(c)(3) organization, and will be restricted to the Lowcountry project. The funds for this project will be used specifically to help promote hearing healthcare to qualified individuals in our area. Each donation, no matter the size, will help to get us one step closer to providing access to quality and affordable hearing healthcare to those who would otherwise go without.Thank you for your generous partnership!
