Hearing testing is non-invasive and provides patients with a clear picture of their current hearing abilities. Dr. Kalady will spend time learning about your medical history as well as your current communication/hearing challenges. The results of your hearing test will be represented on a graph called an Audiogram. Dr. Kalady will explain in detail the results of your testing.
If the hearing testing indicates you do in fact have a hearing loss, Dr. Kalady will discuss treatment options. Most hearing loss is treatable with the use of hearing aids. Dr. Kalady fits patients with advanced hearing aids from the best hearing aid manufacturers. She will take into consideration your communication needs, your hearing loss, your lifestyle and your budget when making a recommendation.
Dr. Kalady follows industry best practices, expertly programming your hearing aids using real ear measurements. This allows Dr. Kalady to program your aids precisely to your unique hearing loss, resulting in better outcomes for patients and no "guessing" your prescription.
Dr. Kalady is able to reprogram hearing aids not purchased from her practice originally. If you need your hearing aids to be updated to your current hearing loss, she will evaluate your hearing and program them using real ear measurements.
Great hearing healthcare is a process, not a one-time fitting. All patients are encouraged to schedule regular appointments with Dr. Kalady for routine maintenance and check-ups. This ensures your hearing aids are working optimally and your hearing aid experience is the best it can be.
If your hearing aids ever require repairs, Dr. Kalady can either fix them right in her office or send them to the manufacturer for more extensive repairs.
Dr. Meg Kalady is from the Philadelphia suburbs and has been practicing audiology for the last 30 years. She completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, and she received her doctorate in audiology in 2012 from AT Still University.
